Papakura Men's Probus was established in April 1989 with the assistance of the local Rotary Club.

Since then we have established ourselves with some 50+ members per annum.

Most of our membership comes from the wider Papakura area.

Today in 2024 we are seeking additional membership to join us in Fun, Friendship and Fellowship.

Probus clubs are non-political, non-sectarian, non-profit making and non-fundraising. Each club provides regular opportunities for retired and semi-
retired people, to keep their minds active and expand their interests.

The club holds a monthly general meeting at the Papakura Club. The meeting is held on the last Friday of each month, except December, and commence at 10:00 am until Noon.

Morning tea is provided at $2.00 per head to cover expenses.

Following the Papakura Club has drinks and luncheon available at your cost if required.
The Annual General Meeting is held in March each year.

Membership Fee is $20 per annum for members. New members pay a small joining fee.

VISITORS ARE WELCOME AT THE MONTHLY MEETING, either unannounced or by initially contacting a committee member.

Intending or existing Probus members will be welcomed by the Meeting Greeter and introduce to others.

At our meetings members are kept informed about general matters such as about of trips and future events.Most meetings will include a '10 Minute' speech from members on a topic of their choice.

ACTIVITIES and VISITS are held most months when on occasions partners and other local clubs may be invited to join in the fun.
Generally outings are for the day and we travel by coach, but if local we may arrange carpooling.

Most trips are very reasonably priced and if sufficient funds are available a subsidy is applied.

During the month there is a 'Friendship luncheon' at a local restaurant at your cost.

We also email our membership a newsletter in the week before a meeting. We do not post out newsletters.
