October - Probus Month and Victorian Seniors Festival

Home-made scones with jam and cream will be on offer for morning tea at our monthly meeting on Friday, October 3. Lunch following the meeting will be at the Railway Inn,  153 Main Street Pakenham, at 12.30pm.

 Monday, October 6

Christmas craft day 10 am to 2 pm. $5 per person. All materials supplied with tea and coffee available. BYO lunch. Venue is Lifestyle, Kaduna Park.

Monday, October 13

Coffee Connoisseurs will meet at Sherwood Park Orchard Bakery Cafe, 3165 Princess Highway Bunyip at 10am.

Thursday, October 16

Probus Friendship  Day held at Officer Sports Club (where our meetings are held) and hosted  by Pakenham Central. Cost is $35 per person which includes morning tea and lunch plus  entertainment and prizes. Drinks at bar prices.

Tuesday, October 21

City to Bush Friendship Day from 12 noon at William Angus Institute, 550 Lt Lonsdale St Melbourne hosted by Probus Victoria . Includes a two course lunch and entertainment from bush poet Colin Driscoll.

Wednesday, October 29

Seniors Month at Gumbuya World, 2705 Princes Hwy, Tynong North. Cost is  $39 per person which includes park admission,  wildlife interactions, international buffet style lunch. Commences at 11am with tea or coffee available on arrival.

November -  Spring Racing Carnival Time

Members are encouraged to come to our monthly meeting dressed  ‘ready for the races’ . Following the meeting a light lunch will be provided with a $50 Visa gift card awarded to the wearer of the best race day hat.

Monday, November 10

Coffee Connoisseurs will meet  at Middle Ground, Shop 1, 52-62 Old Princes Hwy, Beaconsfield from 10am.

Tuesday, November 11

Morning Melodies  at Mulgrave Country Club, cnr Wellington & Jells Rds Wheelers Hill.  The artist  performing  will be Paul Hogan presenting his Bublé and The Crooners  show. The cost is $12 per person which includes  a $2 voucher  to use towards a Seniors  meal on the same day after the show, morning tea before the show (from 10.30am), plus giveaways and  lucky prizes.  The show runs from 10:45 am to 12:15 pm.  As this is Remembrance Day the venue has advised that a minute silence will be observed.

Thursday, November 27

Lunch  at Caldermeade Farm, 4385 South Gippsland Hwy, Caldermeade at 1pm.  There should be plenty of baby animals to admire or you may wish to arrive earlier to take the tractor trailer ride at noon at a cost of $20 for a 45 - 60 minute tour around the farm.

December - Yes, It’s Christmas already!

Our final meeting  will be followed by our final event of the year. A Christmas themed two course catered lunch costing $20 per person. The bar will be open for purchase of drinks at bar prices. Entertainment by The Sassy Strummers and maybe a surprise something to take home.
