The Club provides a full calendar of events, walks, movie afternoons, lunches, travel opportunities and activities for members. Our December meeting takes the form of a Christmas lunch.

Activities are advertised through the general meetings, the newsletter and this website. In all of the Club’s activities, we are mindful of cost. The committee works hard to organise different and exciting activities.

Wednesday, 10 December: CHRISTMAS LUNCH at Mosman Art Gallery.
Commencing at 12 noon. Cost $80 per person.

Thursday, 9 October: A memorable lunch experience at Refettorio, 481 Crown Street, Surry Hills.  This event has been booked out. This is the OzHarvest restaurant, which uses funds donated by lunch participants to feed people in need. The menu is prepared by talented chefs, and OzHarvest volunteers serve the meals. On 9 October, diners are asked to bring an envelope containing $30 cash to cover their meal. Diners can include more than $30 if they wish. As bookings are limited to 20 people, seats will be allocated on a first-in basis. A waitlist will be available in case a place becomes available. Information on how to get to the restaurant will be available at the Activities table at the August meeting.

💥💥 Advance notice: Sarah has secured a booking for 15 people, the new maximum number per booking, on 26 February 2026. The people on the waiting list will have first option for the February booking.

🆕 18 October (Saturday): Some Enchanted Evening. 2:00 pm performance at the Glen Street Theatre, Belrose.

As the last performance by the Sydney Musical & Opera Society was so well received, 10 tickets will be available for this new production. Simon Militano is again in the lead role with a cast accompanied by a rich orchestration, including performances by renowned harpist, Justina Varkuleviciute. This performance is a theatrical celebration of Broadway. Cost: $45 per ticket

Thursday 23 & Friday 24 October 2025: Blue Mountains Get Away:

A luxury coach tour with Alura Coaches. This coach company comes highly recommended. Visit Blackheath, Govetts Leap Lookout, tour & enjoy high tea at the Hydro Majestic, overnight at Leura Gardens Resort, ride the Zig Zag Railway & lunch at Lithgow. Cost: $473.00pp with $110.00 singles supplement where required. A $100 deposit is required at the August meeting & then Alura will follow up regarding all other arrangements.

🏇🏇 Tuesday 4 November: Melbourne Cup Lunch at The Duck.

Be there at 12:30pm in race day dress or just attend. Lunch & a drink are included in the $85.00pp cost. Join in the sweeps & have a festive time. It is always a fabulous event upstairs at The Duck.

🛥️🛥️ Friday 21 November: Sydney Rotary Regatta Lunch Cruise.

Members thoroughly enjoyed this activity in 2024. A good lunch onboard & the opportunity to have a bird’s eye view of the racing boats. Speak to Rob at the activities table to sign up for this event. Cost: $135pp.

Friday 28 November: Schools Spectacular at Qudos Bank Arena. 

In response to the positive reviews from members who attended the 2024 Schools Spectacular, Wendy has organised 12 tickets for this year. The performance starts at 11 am in the Arena; however, attendees can watch SpecFest 2025 musical performances by individual students, marching bands, and ensembles outside the arena from 9:15 am to 10:30 am. As the booking is limited to 12 people, seats will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. A waitlist will be available in case a place becomes available. Information about transport to and from the performance will be available at the Activities desk.
