The Sydney Funnelweb spider can lay valid claim to being the world’s deadliest and most aggressive spider. A remarkable and sadly, little known scientist, the late Dr Struan Sutherland AO, devoted more than 25 years of his life to identifying its unique toxin, and finding an anti-venom for it. Without  his eventual discovery, most people bitten by a funnelweb could expect to die a rapid and agonizing death!

About the speaker - Graham had a 40+ year career in Education, as teacher, consultant, Chief of PR, Principal and Chief Education Officer, Inspector of Schools and Director of Schools. He writes for several magazines, and has become a popular speaker on over 30 topics.
