Making History: We've launched our new club
Melbourne Bearbrass Probus for active retirees successfuly launched at Library at the Dock, Docklands on Wednesday February 12.
We currently have close to 30 members.
Melbourne Sunrise Probus president Jill Tabart and several Sunrise members came as a goodwill delegation.
Numbers are now building well from phone and email inquiries. We've a great new team to get the club delivering fun, friendship and stimulation to members.
Why Join? Here's some answers.
You’ll meet like-minded friends on-line, hear stimulating and frequent online speakers, and with new friends you’ll enjoy many virtual activities now under preparation.
Fees are only $30 to join and $60 for 12 months dues. That is, $90 all-up.
Probus runs entirely for friendships and lifestyles of sociable retirees and near-retirees with lively minds. It does no charity fund-raising.
Bearbrass Probus, sponsored by Rotary Central Melbourne, caters for the city’s huge growth in male and female retirees living in the CBD, Southbank and Docklands. But you can join from anywhere - we have one prospective member happy to travel in from Berwick. Most committee positions are filled but we're still looking to fill some roles.
