The Maroubra Bay Combined Probus Club was formed and registered on 27th April 2006 with Fran Balgue as President. She had to resign due to ill health and Rex Madden took on the role from 3rd February 2007. The club met at the Maroubra Memorial Bowling Club, Malabar Road, Maroubra initially. The club had to move and went to Juniors at Maroubra and when it closed for renovations there was another move to South Coogee Bowling Club. That was also short lived because of their renovations and the club moved to the Botany Council Hall at Pagewood eventually returning to Juniors at Maroubra.
In 2023 the Maroubra Men’s Probus Club, with declining numbers, joined with the Maroubra Bay Combined Probus Club. The name of the club was changed to Maroubra Combined Probus Club later in the year.
