A Great Start
Lyneham Probus club was founded on 22 August 2024, and by the time we held our first general meeting on 26 September 2024, we already had 42 foundation members on board! A fantastic start for a group that’s all about connection and community.
How Do Probus Clubs Start?
Most Probus clubs are started with help from a local Rotary Club, but once they’re up and running, they’re fully independent and run by their members. Clubs are simple, low-cost, and focus on what matters most: connecting people.

Since 1985, Rotary International has encouraged local clubs to support the growing senior community by helping set up Probus clubs. It’s a great way to give back and keep our communities connected.
