As the first Probus Club set up in the Southern Hemisphere we were delighted to hold a celebration lunch on Monday 4 November 2024 at the Southward Car Museum for members and invited guests.
We were particularly pleased to welcome the Chairman of the Board of Probus South Pacific Limited (PSPL), Michael Ransom, and Chief Executive, Silvana Martignano, who visited from Sydney.
Pictured below are Michael Ransom and Silvana Martignago holding a Certificate of Congratulations from PSPL and a framed letter to PSPL from Casey Costello, Minister for Seniors of New Zealand, which they presented to our President Richard Chilton.
The club has been planning this for a long time and we have been delighted with the level of support received from Members, PSPL and Sponsors who have all contributed to make it possible.
Members have been fundraising through raffles, sale of cards, created by our members John and Carole Hutchings, coasters and mugs created by our President, Richard Chilton, and a "Bring and buy" bake sale.
See our 50th Anniversary Special Newsletter in the Newsletter section of this website for a report on the event.
