We have been busy in 2024 with a number of outings.  In February we had a lunch at the Southern Cross Club at Jamison.  In March interested members visited the Discovering Ancient Egypt exhibition at the National Museum of Australia, followed by lunch in the Cafe.  In April there was a one hour guided walk to the Banksia Garden at the Botanic Gardens.  This was also followed by lunch at the Pollen Cafe.

In May some members attended the Ralph Hermans Exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery - also followed by lunch at the cafe.  In May 20 members went on a day trip to Collector, an historic village near Lake George.  This included morning tea provided by the CWA.  A talk and tour at Fedra Olive Grove, which was very interesting.  And we were able to purchase their cold pressed olive oil after learning how it was made. We enjoyed lunch at Some Cafe in town before visiting Lerida Winery where some members participated in a wine tasting.

In June we have a lunch at the Myanmar Burmese Restaurant, and in July a special Christmas in July lunch. In August a guided tour of Geoscience Australia followed by lunch.  A five day trip away is currently being planned.

There are also opportunity to join other Probus Clubs on their trips away.

We also enjoyed a range of outings in 2023 including a five day trip to Victoria in October.  Listed below are the types of outings and activities organised each month.

  • walks on the third and fourth Monday of each month.

  • a Men's Coffee Group which meets at the Lakes Club on two Wednesdays a month.  Regular coffee catch-up for any interested members.
  • a Book Club meets once a month at the Eastlakes Club in Gungahlin.

  • a small group meet for Line Dancing each week.

  • regular lunch outings.

Theatre outings are also organised.
