We meet on the 3rd Monday of each month at the Glenfield Memorial Hall, Hall Road, Glenfield. Our next meeting is Monday 20th October at 10am. Our guest speaker is Janet Edmond who is talking about the Nieukerke Charitable Trust and their work to instill a joy of reading amongst school children - to that end they are proving new, or refurbishing old libraries in several schools. There are 900 schools in NZ that do not have libraries. They have also launched the "My Own Story" service - they write biographies for people and have done a number of these and the service is very well received.
