We meet on the 3rd Monday of each month at the Glenfield Memorial Hall, Hall Road, Glenfield. Our next meeting is Monday 15th September at 10am. Our guest speaker is Jo Ritchie whpo is the Operations Manager for Rotoroa Island Trust. Jo has worked for the Trust sincer 2009 and overseas the management of the island and staff. The talk is about the island's history and its transformation from a place of recovery for people suffering from alcohol and drug addiction to one for nature and visitors. It is also a story about the inspirational generosity of Neil and Annette Plowman who fund the Trust and how a private trust can be much more effective at these projects than a government department.
