Camera and Photography Club
THE CAMERA CLUB IS CURRENTLY IN RECESS - We are looking for a new group coordinator to arrange meetings and outings. Please contact Tim O'Sullivan (details below) if you would be interested in helping out.
This group has been established with the following Aims:-
- To bring together those who enjoy taking photos and who are looking to share their interest and to improve their skills. Members don't have to be experienced photographers or have sophisticated equipment. A tablet or mobile phone will do, or more advanced or sophisticated ‘gear’ if that’s what people have.
- Photographic and social outings would be held regularly and provide different photographic opportunities. The group would meet every so often to view the images taken on the outings, to plan future activities and to participate in workshops and information sessions. There may be the occasional guest speaker.
- The group might also consider the use of ‘internet technology’ to enrich their hobby e.g. using the cloud for the storage and sharing of images, using Zoom e.g. as a means of meeting on-line, enrolling in various free photography courses / tutorials that are available on-line etc. etc.
- Social interaction and enjoyment in the spirit of the Probus aims of Fun, Friendship & Fellowship are important objectives. Photo outings would promote a social atmosphere & ambiance.
