Introduction
Probus originated as an association of retired and semi-retired men.
The word Probus comes from the words PROfessional and BUSiness groups. We are a Not-for-Profit social organisation, and we are now for retired and semi-retired men and women.
The basic purpose of a Probus group is to provide regular gatherings for those who, in retirement, appreciate and value opportunities to meet others in similar circumstances of a similar level of interest.
At an interest meeting sponsored by the Olinda Probus Club on 18 September 2025, it was decided to form the Ferntree Gully Probus Club.
