Thursday- 16th October: Tour of Devonport and National Museum of the Royal NZ Navy
Catch the 10:00am Devonport Ferry from downtown Auckland. Use the AT HOP card and please be aware that the ferry does leave punctually.
The coach will meet us at approx. 10:20 to start the tour with an introduction and commentary from the Wharf to the Museum at Torpedo Bay
Depending on the numbers we will split into 2 groups. One group will have morning tea at the cafe while the other group visits the museum then swap over. The coach/s will leave the museum at approx. 12:15pm to continue the tour of volcanic features with local history, to arrive at Victoria Road. Lunch can be bought in cafes around the Devonport shopping area, see the shops on the short downhill walk to catch the ferry or stay on the bus to be dropped off back at the wharf to catch the ferry back to the city.
Cost: $45 - Includes: Devonport Coach tour and morning tea. The museum is by donation.
November- Thursday 20th: Christmas Lunch at the Howick Club. (107 Botany Rd Howick)
The bus will leave from Manukau Rd at 11:15am to arrive at the club by 12:00 with lunch around 12:30pm. A selection of great Xmas fare including traditional Ham and desserts. You will be able to purchase a drink from the bar.
Cost: $40 - with the outing subsidised by the club. Please indicate your interest at the October/ November meetings. Please confirm numbers and make on-line payments by Wed 12th November to bank account 12-3025-0276779-00.
