PRESIDENTS REPORT- Chris Robinson
Hello to all members.
October is a month that Probus call it’s month and has some suggestions on how clubs could celebrate October. Hopefully I will be able to talk more about what our club can do at the next meeting on the 21st of October. However, John G. may have to chair this month as I am waiting to have vascular surgery, which I could get a call about any day now. Anyway, today Tuesday 8th is a special day for a special friend who I am taking out to lunch.
So cheers to all members and I’ll see you soon.
Chris.

MEETING
Members attending the September meeting. Obviously members some have a sense of humour.
We had the pleasure of listening to a great and interesting talk given by a lady from Beyond Blue, on the sensitive topic of anxiety and depression. A condition many of us may have in the future or have suffered in the past.
Beyond Blue helps raise awareness, reduce stigma, and encourages people to seek help.
Thank you for giving us a very informative talk.
SPEAKERS - For 2025 – after the Probus monthly meeting.
January Nola Ellis Nola will talk about her military career and travels.
February Noel Braun Author, numerous books and three novels, several about Camino de Santiago, the ancient pilgrimage routes through Europe to Santiago in the north-west of Spain. He has walked five of these routes at a mature age., last at 77 in 2017.

Kafe in Hemmings Street Dandenong was well attended and thoroughly enjoyed by those that attended.
September 19th TEN-PIN BOWLING Report from Linda and John G.
Linda tells me it was Chris who won the cup. (He obviously is better at ten-pin bowling than mini golf.) 😊
Cherre and Linda both excelled breaking the 100 barrier.
After ten pin bowling a few
members enjoyed lunch at
The Volt Café in Narre Warren.
PROBUS TRAVELLERS & ADVENTURES is open to anybody. Please share your adventures & travel stories with us.
PROBUS TRAVELLERS and ADVENTURES. Report from Vanna W.
DANDENONG CLUB – GYPSY
FLEETWOOD MAC TRIBUTE SHOW
A favourite place for members to go to shows. Another great music show. My favourite song is ‘Tusk”
DOVETON MORNING MELODIES – cost $5.00 for music, scones and real coffee from a machine. What more could you ask for? Come along and dance, sing or just sit and enjoy the company.
PET’S CORNER – this month - BELLA, Jennifer M.'s cat. Report from Vanna W.
GARDENING
A keen gardener will be constantly thinking ahead to future seasons. If you want your garden to be full of colour throughout the coming summer months, October is the perfect time to plant your summer-flowering varieties. This will ensure they are established in time to produce spectacular blooms.
BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS Another year older and maybe wiser.
