The Things We Do

Like all Probus Clubs, Chatswood Central provides an opportunity for retired and semi-retired people to keep active mentally and physically as well as enjoying social interaction with fellow Probians. We are a club of some eighty men and women and welcome enquiries from those interested in joining us. Annual fees are $40.

Meetings

We meet at 10.00 am on the second Tuesday of each month in a room on Level 2 at 8 Thomas Street, Chatswood, to listen to our guest speaker and to socialize. Plenty of free parking is available nearby and we often meet afterwards for coffee or lunch at the adjacent Chatswood RSL.

Outings

Come and join us. The club organizes an outing each month. These outings are planned as day activities and frequently we organise lunches , walks, picnics, guided tours of places like the Art Gallery, Sydney Town hall etc . Occasionally a day bus trip is arranged usually in conjunction with other Clubs in the area. Trips in recent times have included visits to the Historic Air Museum at Albion Park, Canterbury Races, Historic Macarthur Region and Camden.
We also have special occasion celebrations like a Christmas Lunch, also Christmas inJuly.

Coffee Club

Enjoy a relaxed morning chatting with other members over coffee. Meeting first Tuesday every month, 10 am at Chatswood RSL.

Finance Special Interest Group

Meet with other members who share an interest in Financial matters. Group meets every 3rd Tuesday of the month, 10 am at Chatswood RSL Bistro. For further details, please contact Acting Treasurer Doug.
