The secret to maintaining a fulfilling lifestyle following retirement is to stay involved, keep your mind active and enjoy new experiences with friends. Probus is a social club for retirees offering new horizons, new adventures and new friends in retirement.
Welcome to Beecroft Men's Probus - 38 years of friendship, fellowship and fun!
We are a lively club of seventy members (and growing) who enthusiastically involve ourselves in a limited range of well organised activities:
-
A monthly program of stimulating speakers
-
Regular social outings and excursions
-
An investment club with guest speakers and a stockmarket competition
-
A particularly active wine club
With partner participation at lunches and special events
A special focus of our meetings is the presentation by a guest speaker on a topic selected for its interest to members. Recent speakers have included Tom Switzer, Bob Carr, Kylie Kwong, Bruce Baird, Philip Ruddock, Alasdair McGregor, Gary Ridge, Jamie Vandenberg, Anne Henderson and Fred Watson.
Our upcoming outings program includes visits to the State Library of NSW, the Centenary Project at the Anzac War Memorial, racing at Rosehill Gardens and the Last Night of the Proms at the Opera House.
We meet at the Beecroft Bowling Club, 128 Copeland Road (next to Beecroft Primary School) at 10.00 am on the fourth Monday of each month.
