The format of club meetings begins with the monthly general meeting dealing with the usual meeting requirements of the Club’s management and activities program throughout the year.
The general meeting is followed by morning tea and fellowship, which in turn is followed by a guest speaker.
A diverse range of guest speakers are selected to address topical issues or come from the entertainment industry, local history or of special interest to retired people.
There are regular activities including a monthly dine out, movie days, cycling and bowls groups as well as regular day trips to places of interest and at least one 5 day trip each year.
Partners are strongly encouraged to join in any of the special interest activities and club outings, where they are always most welcome. Members’ partners are also invited to meetings where speakers are of special interest.
The Annual Membership fee is $30 for a single membership or $40 for a member and partner, which covers the costs of the monthly meetings and guest speakers, but does not include the cost of excursions, etc. However, those costs are kept at reasonable levels so that all members may participate.
