Happy 19th
25 Aug 2021
On Monday 28 June, the Yarrawonga Mulwala Probus Club celebrated its 19th birthday. It was established in June 2002 and has over 80 members.
Probus is a Club for active retirees who stay connected for Fun, Friendship and Fellowship in retirement.
The Club does this via monthly meetings at Club Mulwala with coffee mornings, happy hours, lunches and dinners, shows and movies, trips and other social activities.
On Monday, the birthday cake was cut by a founding member and former president of the Club, Bill Church, with wife Adele.
Congratulations to Bill on such a wonderful achievement of receiving an Order of Australia for service to our community.
Bill said his favourite pastime has been “farming and making things for the farm”, which eventually led to an enormous involvement with the Yarrawonga Mulwala Historical Society.
Bill thanked his family, particularly wife Adele, for their support. Adele has been previously honoured for community service.
