Life membership at Burnie

At the AGM of the Probus Club of Burnie, Graeme Wheeler was honoured with life membership. 

President Kevin Lucadou-Wells presented Graeme with his certificate. 

In presenting the award, Kevin made reference to Graeme’s involvement with the Club. 

Graeme has been a member for 22 years and was President in the year 2001-2002. He is a very dedicated member, who has attended meetings on a regular basis and enjoys participating in the many functions. He has been a great mentor to many new members.

The Probus Club of Burnie has been in existence for 32 years, providing retired men the opportunity to join for a new lease of life. It provides its members many benefits and a chance to enjoy their retirement with likeminded people. 

The Club meets monthly to hear from club speakers on subjects of their own choosing and guest speakers are invited from all professions and experiences. It also provides the time for fellowship and the opportunity to meet with new friends. 

Monthly lunches, outings and visits to places of interest are also organised.
