Combined Probus Clubs Luncheon
06 Nov 2017
On Wednesday 16 August members from four Probus clubs in the western suburbs gathered at the Auditorium at Mt Coot-tha Botanical Gardens for a combined lunch.
Over a hundred representatives from Indooroopilly, Indooroopilly West, Chapel Hill and Taringa clubs celebrated the silver anniversary of Probus Clubs in Queensland, and the more recent formation of our own clubs.
This is the second year the lunch has been held, and it certainly highlights what Probus is all about: Fun, Friendship, Fellowship and Food! Over a delicious meal of roast chicken and scrumptious salads, followed by a selection of sweet treats, there was much jubilation as people caught up with old friends and began new friendships.
Organiser, Ron McLean from Indooroopilly club, said, “The success of the day was evident with the happy noise that rose from the combined throng and the many, many conversations that occurred throughout the day. It was great to see members of all clubs enjoying themselves.”
It was agreed that the combined lunch was a very enjoyable and relaxed way to spend the Ekka holiday, and it is anticipated that similar events will be held in the future.
