Mandurah Island Probus Club in an hour south of Perth. Mandurah is WA’s retirement capital. A town of canals between the Indian Ocean and the 50 km long Peel Estuary. The population has grown from 12,000 to 95,000 in 40 years. The Mandurah Island Probus Club is 120 strong, 13 years old and vibrant. Its activities include walking, cycling, caravanning and camping, fishing, mahjong, book club, joint singing, men’s singing, wine appreciation, men’s lunch club, women’s lunch club, coffee club, and an electronic tech bar is about to start. It takes 44 volunteers to run the Club and its activities for an average month.
