A delightful annual summer picnic

Howick East Combined Probus Club recently enjoyed its annual summer picnic in warm and sunny climes.
It was an idyllic scene under the pohutukawa trees at Eastern Beach and the music and singalong.
The show of camaraderie epitomises the motto of Probus Clubs with plenty of fun and friendship in retirement.
A member of the Times newspaper joined the picnic which included 120 members.
The next excursion in the Auckland region is planned for February, a Red Boat trip up the western Waitemata Harbour to Riverhead.
For 25 years, this Probus Club been supporting the retired community in Howick and believe they can contribute support to a much larger number of local retirees.
