Getaway to the Goldfields of Kalgoorlie

24 Members and partners of the Men's Probus Club of Booragoon (WA) enjoyed a five day getaway to the goldfields of Kalgoorlie and surrounds.
This outing was planned by our previous Outings Officer and now President Paul Simpson, and was capably supervised during its operation by current Outings Officer Merv Peters. This event was considered an outstanding success by all participants.
Transport to and from Kalgoorlie was by rail on the"Prospector". Accommodation, which included breakfast and dinner, was provided by the Railway Motel.
Tours were conducted by Goldrush Tours who had an excellent programme supported by first rate knowledgeable guides. Tours included visits to the interesting features of Kalgoorlie/Boulder, Coolgardie, Leonora and Gwalia.
A highlight of the trip was an excellent lunch provided by the Blaze Cafe in Boulder on the last day of the visit.
