Combined Probus Clubs Sport's Day

The Probus Club of Nowra Inc on the south coast organised the Combined Sport's Day at the Callala RSL Country Club on Monday 27th February 2017.
Invitations were sent to all the District Clubs in the Shoalhaven and it was pleasing that more than 146 Probians attended the event. The initial sudden downpour of rain earlier did not dampen the spirits as thankfully the clouds moved away as the day turned out to be bright and sunny.
We played 9-hole Ambrose golf, bowls, putting golf competition and bocce.
A highlight was the Vic Levitt Shield, won by St Georges Basin Combined Probus golfers earning the bragging rights. The previous years winner Shoalhaven Heads Noel Schneider presented the Vic Levitt Shield trophy to the St Georges Basin golfers.
Everyone enjoyed a picnic style luncheon prepared by the Probus Club of Nowra. After the raffle draw of meat vouchers, the prizes for golf, bowls, putting competition and bocce were presented.
