ACT CLUBS REPRESENTED AT SENIORS DAY EXPO
The recent COTA Seniors Day Expo attracted large crowds to a new venue for 2015.Over 150 booths were set up in the main arena and the Probus South Pacific contribution was manned by a series of teams from four local Probus Clubs. They received a strong interest in membership from visiting seniors and collected over 40 names of potential members. Identifying Club of choice gave potential members the opportunity of visiting more than one club in their quest for fun, friendship and fellowship
CLOSURE OF MENS CLUB IN ACT
Due to falling membership numbers and an increasing reluctance to take on Management Committee roles the remaining members of Weston Creek Men’s Probus Inc. elected to close. Most have taken new membership of another men’s club in the ACT or decided to join the combined club option.
CLUB 10th BIRTHDAY
Kippax Probus Inc.(C)celebrated its 10th birthday during April. A well attended morning tea was supplemented with an enormous chocolate/cream cake to the pleasure of those present and expertly cut by visiting guests. Invited guests included Joyce Goodman. President Probus Assn Canberra & District, Tony Howkins District 9710 RDPC. A foundation club member and Rotary Club Member of the original charter group(Rotary Club of Ginninderra).The Kippax President was presented with PSPL birthday certification.
