Crafty work for Probians
17 Apr 2015
From knitting capes for the elderly to making poppies for the Heritage Festival, the talented members of the Lower Sandy Bay Ladies Probus Club love using their skills and talents to help the community.
At Christmas, the craft group knitted 34 dolls for the ABC Giving Tree in Tasmania, where people are encouraged to donate to charities during Christmas. The tree is the state's largest Christmas charity.
Next month, the members will knit Trauma Teddies. A wonderful initiative of the Australian Red Cross, these special bears are given to children and adults during traumatic times.
