Australia has reclaimed the Ashes with a spectacular 3-0 series lead over England. The win has largely been attributed to coach Darren Lehmann, following through on remarks made on the back of Australia’s 0-3 series loss to England just months ago. Lehmann raised eyebrows when he observed the weaknesses in England’s batting line-up, with the Aussie bowlers striking quickly and effectively. Read the play-by-play and more on ABC News.
Falconio murderer appeals conviction
Bradley Murdoch, convicted of killing British backpacker, Peter Falconio, has lodged an appeal against his life sentence. The appeal is based on an assertion of misconduct by the Crown prosecutor. Read more.
Queenslander wins $70 million lotto jackpot
A mystery Queenslander has become $70 million richer overnight, being the sole winner of the Oz Lotto jackpot. The winner numbers were 26, 24, 20, 17, 34, 39 and 39, supplementary numbers were 22 and 23. Seven News has more.

Allen’s lollies accused of lack of variety
A self-confessed lolly enthusiast was so disappointed at his Allen’s lollies party mix, which was half bananas and black cats rather than the variety that is promised, that he posted about it on Facebook.
