Kingston Combined Probus Club Luncheon
03 Apr 2017
The members of the Kingston Combined Probus Club Inc. travelled to Kettering for their monthly luncheon at the Mermaid Café which is located next the the Bruny Island ferry terminal.
We were blessed with a beautiful sunny day although the wind had a cool edge to it. The Mermaid Café is shared by those having table service as well as those passengers waiting for the arrival of the next ferry coming in from Bruny Island so it’s a busy place. We had a variety of food from which to choose and very helpful staff that served our meals all at the same time and looked after our group perfectly.
Whenever this group of people get together it’s fun and fellowship with lots of noisy chatter and much laughter. For a bunch of seniors of varying ages they all get along so well together at every opportunity. Our members come from a diverse range of backgrounds and have interests in music, horticulture, cooking, travelling, sports, movies, walking and in many cases volunteering.
Our Probus Club is approaching its second birthday in April so that will offer a further opportunity to have even more fun . . . . this time with cake !
