Popular Probian Ken Tanner, a very active Foundation Member and Past President of The Probus Club of Hobart Macquarie is also active in Radio Broadcasting in Southern Tasmania.
Each Thursday afternoon, between 2 -4 pm, Ken can be heard on the Southern Tasmania “radio waves ”as a volunteer presenter/announcer on Hobart Community Radio FM Radio Stations 96.1 or 92.1, presenting his popular 2 hour programme “My Kind of Music” where easy listening and music that Probians enjoy and can relate to, may be heard.
Ken’s regular programme is also popular with the wider “ listening community” in Southern Tasmania.
He contends that he is the “oldest DJ” on Radio”
