Happy Christmas in July

Ho, ho, ho! The Men’s and Ladies’ Club of Booragoon joined forces recently and enjoyed a great Christmas in July together.
When the organiser, Lyn Chamberlain of the Ladies' Club (ably assisted by her lesser half Ron from the Men's Club), invited the men to a Christmas in July outing to Ravenswood, they accepted with no hesitation.
Almost 50 members and partners of both clubs filled Kevin's Elite Tours luxury coach for a trip to the Ravenswood Hotel situated on the banks of the Murray River.
The weather turned out somewhat damp but it had no impact on the great enthusiasm of the participants.
Morning tea was provided under cover at Armadale on the way, where we inspected the visitors' centre and the Bert Tyler Machinery Museum. On arriving at the Ravenswood Hotel in its beautiful surroundings, we received an excellent three-course Christmas lunch with all the trimmings of bon bons and decorations.
The event was voted yet another combined success.
