Mystery trip

Northam Probus Club members enjoyed a Mystery trip on 18th September using the Shire bus, which was an amazing day out and the sunshine was truly most welcome.

Members drove through the countryside looking at crops, an eagle nest, the new Solar Panel plant, until they arrived at Meckering, there they had morning tea at Colton’s Beef Jerky Cafe, and had superb fresh scones with drinks then a talk from the proprietor on the making of his Jerky.  The samples were yummy!

Members toured around Meckering, and the Earthquake sites, this is where the picture above was taken of the Group. On 14th October this year it will be 50 years since the earthquake.

Members went onto Cunderdin, there they went to the lookout point that looks out over the countryside, it was an outstanding site, the wildflowers were in abundance. Then they went to Ettamogah Pub for lunch.

Afterwards they visited the Railway museum at Cunderdin, was very fascinating, then a leisurely trip home.

A good time had by all.
