A Titanic Dinner
06 Nov 2015
On Saturday 22nd August 88 members and guests joined ‘Captain’ Michael Booth for a night to remember at the Camden Civic Centre.
Michael’s passion for everything Titanic is well known in the area and no detail was passed over in the preparation for this night. The six course Dinner menu was taken from the ships menu and our ‘boarding passes’ were issued in the name of actual passengers on board that fateful day!
Everyone dressed in period costumes for the occasion.
The best dressed couple on the night, judged by the staff of the Civic Centre, was our President Celia Leary and her husband Barry. May was judged best dressed ‘single’.
The cake (18.5kg of it!), made by member Wendy Paul was stunning.
Special guests attending were the Mayor of Camden, Lara Symkowiak, Narellan Rotary President Drew Moyle and wife Sharon, and Pastor Stewart Starr and wife Carolyn.
Michael’s team was thanked by Celia at the close of the evening, Kath Armstrong, Jo & Francesca Booth and Wendy Paul.
