40 year celebrations

130 Members and guests from 9 clubs in the Western District of Brisbane- Sherwood, Chelmer; Jindalee; Kenmore Millennium; Kenmore Village; Brisbane West; Bellbowrie; Forest Lake and Mt.Ommaney were welcomed by chairman Neil Page to our 40th Anniversary Gala, celebrating 40 years of Probus in Australia.

Special guests included Douglas Geekie, Chair PSPL Board; Judy Brockett, President PAQ; Nick Curry former Rotary/Probus Liaison Rep; Councillor Nicole Johnston and Bill Watson, President of Brisbane Inner West Rotary Club (Sherwood Club sponsor club).All guests were challenged to meet and greet their "twin" ensuring that the hand of friendship prevailed.  Our Anniversary Book, " 40 Years On", a collection of stories by members from these clubs and a souvenir bookmark was presented to each guest, a gift made possible thanks to some wonderful sponsorships. 

The Probus motto of fun, friendship and fellowship was truly enacted, making it a memorable day."
