20 Foundation members help celebrate Bateau Bay Combined Probus 10th Birthday. The cake was made by Tom Chaplin, one of our foundation members.
VIP and foundation and past president John McIlwaine and president Michael Whipps cut our 10th birthday cake.
At NSW Parliament House, Ms. Yvonne Crestani was presented with the 2016 Women of the Year.This is the first Women of the Year award that Adam Crouch MP – Member for Terrigal has awarded since his election to the seat of Terrigal almost 12 months ago and Yvonne is a very worthy recipient.
Through the Crestani Scholarships that Yvonne established in honour of her late husband Dr Chris Crestani, she has raised well in excess of $100,000 for vital ongoing education in cancer treatment for the outstanding staff at the Central Coast Cancer Centre.
These scholarships ensure that cutting edge technology at the Central Coast Cancer Centre are matched with staff with cutting edge training. Congratulations Yvonne, keep up the great work, you are a pocket powerhouse.
Yvonne is an active Club member of the Bateau Bay Combined Probus.
