Members of Hobart Macquarie's excursion to Shene was definitely memorable. 

The property Shene is located some 30 minutes drive North of Hobart, just off the Midlands Highway at Pontville.

Members enjoyed a very tasty Devonshire Tea upon arrival in the restored section of Stables complex which was followed by a very extensive, interesting and informative open tour of all buildings, features and grounds of the Estate by the owners. 

The group certainly shared a significant component of Australia's and Tasmania's heritage on this occasion.
