Stopping to smell the wildflowers
21 Nov 2013
The wildflowers in the west are an amazing sight, and members of the Karrinyup and North Beach Probus Club are very lucky to have a member who owns a property about an hour's drive from Perth who invited the club there to view them.
There great specimens all over the 133-hectare property and another family member, who is a keen horticulturist, has planted many more in the enclosed home garden where they are safe from kangaroos. These include the rare and very beautiful Gingin Wax.
A great morning tea was provided on arrival and members were able to sit in the farmhouse or out on the verandah admiring the birds and breathing in the wonderful fresh clean air.
Many members took advantage of a 4WD tour of the property before settling back for lunch and enjoying each other’s company.
