A day out at Beechworth Courthouse
02 Apr 2015
Members of both the Probus Club of Nowra and Probus Club of Shoalhaven Inc in March completed a 6 day Linga Longa holiday and tour to Victoria visiting towns and sights of Yarrawonga, Glenrowan, Echuca, Beechworth, Bright, Myrtleford, Eurobin and Shepparton. The venues and history narratives from all the places we visited was very informative. We watched out for the Kelly gang and thankfully we all now live in a different era.
At the Beechworth Courthouse we reinacted the trial of Ned Kelly. All actors performed well even the main character Ned Kelly retained the Irish accent.
From time of pickup from Nowra NSW pickup and return we had travelled over 2,500 Kilometres.
Even though we all each had put on a few kilos of weight we have great memories and following the Probus motto of Friendship, Fellowship and Fun.
We would recommend this Victorian holiday to all NSW District Probus Clubs and individuals.
