$438 million of ice seized
Australian Federal Police, Customs Officers and NSW Police have seized the largest amount of the drug ice in Australia’s history. Valued at $438 million, 585kg of ice was found and three men have been arrested. ABC News has the details.
Family hurt in balcony collapse
A family in Sydney’s lower north shore have had a lucky escape after their balcony gave way six metres plunging to the ground. One woman is expected to undergo surgery and nine others were taken to hospital but have since been released. Sydney Morning Herald has more.
Keli Lane to apply for bail
Keli Lane will apply for bail today ahead of her appeal for conviction. Lane was found guilty in December 2010 of killing her baby daughter shortly after they left hospital in 1996. News.com.au has the details.
Fraser named greatest
Dawn Fraser has been crowned Australia’s greatest female athlete in a ceremony overnight, concluding Sport for Women Day in the nation’s capital. The public was given eight months to vote with 246 nominees vying for the top gong. Read more.

Rosa Parks honoured
President Obama has unveiled a statue in the US Congress honouring Rosa Parks, the famous American Civil rights activist. Parks became famous when she refused to give up her seat for a white man in Montgomery, Alabama in 1955. See the statue and read more on ABC News.
