Left-wing student beaten to death

Protests have broken out in Paris a day after right-wing extremists beat a student to death on the street near St Lazare station. Clement Meric, a student at Sciences Po University, was taken to hospital with head injuries. He was declared dead on Thursday. Several hundred people gathered at the site of the bashing while another demonstration took place in the Latin Quarter. ABC News has more.
