KEEPING “ACTIVE” BEFORE “RETIREE”
09 Mar 2017
The Probus Club of Ballina Waters believes in challenging it’s Members to be Active, have Fun, offer Friendship, Support and Care for each other.
The “Active” this year commenced with a Morning Tea at a local restaurant celebrating Australia Day on the 26th January, 2017, led by President, William Dixon. To be relaxing by our beautiful Richmond River, telling jokes and stories while answering quizzes was a memorable occasion.
Leaving no time for idleness the Members gathered again Friday the 27th January, by the River, at Brunswick Park for an evening of friendship and chatter over a meal of Take-Away Fish and Chips.
This week of Activities concluded with Members celebrating The Chinese New Year, welcoming the “Year of the Rooster” at a local Restaurant. Members received Lucky Money Envelopes, some of which held surprise gift vouchers others were left to dream of riches to come.
February promises to be an equally busy Month, starting with an excursion to explore the historical town of Lawrence before returning to Brunswick Park by the River to catch breath and relax with our favoured Take-Away Fish and Chips.
The Probus Club of Ballina Waters is a Club for both Men and Women. New Members and Visitors are welcome. Any enquiries please contact Secretary, Phone 66812537.
