Batemans Bay Probus members enjoy a week on the Murray River

Several members of The Probus Club of Batemans Bay recently enjoyed a week on the Murray River between Mannum Blanchetown on the ‘Murray Princess’ Christmas in July cruise, capped off with a day trip to the beautiful Barossa Valley.

The trip provided a great blend of relaxed cruising enjoying the magnificent towering cliffs and extensive wetlands along that section of the Murray, shore excursions at Sunnydale Station, Blanchetown, Swanreach and the Ngaut Ngaut aboriginal conservation area, and festivities on board.

Some of the intrepid travelers also enjoyed a side trip in the tender boat.  Pictured above are members Barry Hart (camera to face) and Trevor Kohlhagen immediately forward of him in the tender.

President Jan Wright and Bob Wright are pictured on the banks of the Murray at the Ngaut Ngaut conservation reserve.  Also pictured – the magnificent Murray River and a night-time visitor to the ‘Murray Princess’.
