Thursday, 9th October: 10.00 a.m. QIMR Berghofer Group Tour _ Medical Research Institute, Herston. Join the free tour of this world-leading medical research institute that seeks to discover and deliver better treatments and diagnoses for some of the world's deadliest diseases. Morning tea included. Maximum group - 20. Duration 10.00 a.m. to 11.45 a.m. Wear closed in shoes. No wheelie walkers allowed in the laboratories. Meeting point is Reception at 300 Herston Road, Herston. Bookings close Thursday, 2nd October to enable names to be provided to the Security Team at QIMR. Information on paid parking and public transport is available at Activities desk. Tour fully booked.
Thursday, 23rd October: Joint Probus Month Celebration, 10.00 a.m to 2.30 p.m. at Broncos Club, 98 Fulcher Road, Red Hill. Ten Probus Clubs from Metro North have been invited to this venue to participate in a program hosted by Donna Lynch with Trivia, raffles, prizes and music. Guest speakers and an opportunity to meet Broncos Club guests. Sandwich lunch and all free.
Sunday 26th October: Growl Theatre - "The Foreigner" by Lary Shue. Shy Englishman Charlie Baker arrives at a rural fishing lodge in Georgia looking for peace and quiet. To avoid awkward conversations, his friend, "Froggy", claims Charlie does not speak a word of English. This is a fast-paced comedy full of laughter, heart and the hilarious consequences of pretending to be someone you're not. Ticket is $15.00. Book and pay on or before 2nd October. November 2025
Thursday, 20th November: Sunshine Coast Hinterland Day Trip. Board train, 7.03 a.m at Roma Street Station for Beerwah Station, then board coach to Mary Cairncross Park for morning tea. On to Maleny for some free time wandering, then on to "The Barn" at Flaxton for lunch. Time permitting, there will be a brief stop at Montville, then back to Beerwah to catch the 3.41 p.m. train to Brisbane, arriving Roma Street at 5.03 p.m. Meals are at own cost and bus hire is $30.00 per person for bus hire. Thursday 22nd January: 8.00 a.m. Australia Day Brekkie in the Park - Teralba Park. Get in early and register to start celebrating Australia Day. A barbeque breakfast will be provided from 8.00 a.m.. Cost is $5.00. Final bookings and payment must be made by 4th December 2025, before the New Year break. Helpers needed on the day. Lead: TBC
February 2026
Thursday 19th February: 9.30 a.m. Trivia Day and Morning Tea, Gaythorne Bowls Club. Jan Lidicky is preparing some thought-provoking questions for this event. Expect some trick questions! Morning tea starts at 9.30 a.m. , game is from 10.00 a.m. Cost is $10.00 and includes morning tea and hall hire. Lead: TBC

Monday 27th April 2026:
Proposed bus tour to Armidale/Glen Innes/Inverell/Tamworth/Tenterfield with Granite Highland Tours. An all-inclusive tour for 5 night/6 days. Cost is $1470.00 p/p double or twin share, and $1795.00 single (person not sharing motel room). Note: Passengers should take out appropriate travel insurance against cancellation fees and expenses due to accident &/or illness.
