Thursday 17th April: 11.00 a.m. Brunch at Crepe Cafe, Homemaker Centre, Aspley. Own cost. Enjoy a sleep-in before joining fellow members for a leisurely brunch. Lead: Linda Lawes.
May 2025
Thursday 15th May: 9.30 a.m. departure. Day trip by bus to "Best of British" at The Fox and Hounds Country Inn at Wongawallan. Cost - $95.00. Pick-up is at Gaythorne Bowls Club. Travel to the Gold Coast Hinterland to visit the only pub in Australia to have been brought from England. Enjoy morning tea, 2 course lunch and some classic British entertainment. Morning tea and lunch included in the fare. Payments due by 1st May. Lead: Linda Lawes.
Thursday 22nd May: 10.00 a.m. Morning Tea at Walkabout Creek Discovery Centre Cafe, 60 Mount Nebo Road, Enoggera Reservoir. Own cost. Come and have some refreshments on the tree-top deck, relax and have a chat in the unique surroundings of D'Agiular National Park. Additional option at own cost (Adult - $8.90, Concession - $6.10) is the Walkabout Creek Discovery Show. Book by 1st May for catering purposes. Lead: Jeanette Mills.
June 2025
Monday, 2nd June: Trivia with Bridgeman Downs Probus Club. 2 teams entered.
Thursday, 19th June: 9.30 a.m. for 10.00 a.m. Teralba Park, Everton Park. A light morning Tea before the Sausage Sizzle lunch at Teralba Park. Try your sporting prowess with some games in the park. BYO chair, thermos and cups for drinks. Cost is $5.00, payable by 5th June. Lead: June Sakjewski. Help needed with morning tea and barbeque.
July 2025
Friday, 11th July: Train trip to the Queensland Garden Show in Nambour. Use your Translink pass to travel to Nambour, connecting with a free shuttle bus at Nambour Station to the Showgrounds entrance gate. Go to www.qld.gardenshow.com.au for further information about what's on and a map of the grounds. Entry fee at own cost: Adult - $26.50 online/$29.00 at gate. Concession - $23.50 online/$25.00 at gate. Show is open from 8.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m.
Thursday, 17th July: Club Birthday Lunch at Aspley Bowls Club. Cost $50.00 for 2 course lunch, drinks at own cost. Break out your flowered shirts, dresses, shorts, leis and grass skirts. Pin those hibiscus flowers behind the ears for this year's Hawaiian theme party. Bookings and final payment due by 4th July.
