Shellharbour Probus

AIM

To provide regular meetings for retired professional men and women and others who have held positions of responsibility in any worthy vocation and who appreciate and value, in their retirement or semi-retirement, increased social contacts and opportunities to meet others in similar circumstances .

PURPOSE

The purpose of this Club is to advance intellectual and cultural interest, and provide opportunities for fellowship, the development of acquaintance and social interaction.

Probus is non-political and non-sectarian. It is not, nor seen, to be a fund-raising body.

Meetings are normally held on the second Monday of the month at Warilla Bowls and Recreation Club, Jason Avenue, Warilla starting at 10.00am and scheduled to finish by 11.30am. If a meeting day falls on a public holiday, then the meeting is put back to the third Monday of the month, provided a meeting room is available.

So that we are covered by the Warilla Bowls and Recreation Club's insurance, all Probus Club members are required to join Warilla Bowls and Recreation Club as social members, at least.

A guest speaker is usually part of the monthly meeting programme.

An information Bulletin is e-mailed to all members about one week before each meeting. Please advise the Bulletin Editor of this and provide your e-mail address so that it can be recorded and used.

Outings, bus trips and dinners will be listed in the Bulletin and a sheet will be available at meetings for those who wish to attend these events.

Shellharbour Probus is all about fun and friendship and we would love to see you at our meetings.
