Welcome to Marrickville Probus!

We are a small, friendly group of active retirees and semi-retirees who live in Marrickville and suttounding areas of Sydney's inner west and go out together and enjoy each others' company. 

Probus is a non-religious, non-political not-for-profit organisation with branches throughout Sydney and the South Pacific. You are welcome to attend a couple of our events before filling out a membership form and paying the pro-rata annual fee.

Our Program:

Monthly meeting

We meet on the third Monday of each month at 10am at the Marrickville Golf Club at 10am to hear a speaker, be updated on the Club's activities, meet our friends and enjoy a light luncheon. Our December meeting is usually our Christmas Lunch held at a local restaurant.

Coffee morning

On the second Tuesday of each month, we get together at the Kurtosh cafe at Marrickville Metro for coffee at 10am. 

Weekly Walking Group 

Each Thursday our active walking group meets at the Steel Park Waterplay Park at 532 Illawarra Road at 9.30am each Thursday for a walk along the Cooks River.  Of course, plenty of time is spent in the Pelican Cafe after the walk for coffee and cake!

Outings each month

Each month we usually have an outing. In September 2024 a group went to Camden Park House for its annual open day while our November trip is to visit a local men's shed. Details  of our events are sent to members by email and mentioned at our meeting.

Movie and/or Lunch

From time to time, we enjoy a movie and/or lunch together.
