Barrier Reef Discovery Cruise from Brisbane to Cairns in November 2025
Logan Village Probus Club members are embarking on our first cruise from Brisbane to Cairns from 8 - 14 November on the Pacific Encounter, operated by Carnival Cruises. An invitation is extended to other Probus Club members to join our group.

Inaugural Outing to Government House
On 12th February 2025, 31 Logan Village Probus Club members had their inaugural outing to Government House, a heritage listed mansion at Fernberg Road, Paddington. It is the official residence of Her Excellency, The Honourable Jeannette Young AC PSM, who has been the Governor of Queensland since 1 November 2021. The Right Honourable Sir George Bowen was the first Governor of Queensland from 10 December 1859 – 4 January 1868.
Originally designed by Benjamin Backhouse and built in 1865, Government House has been extended and refurbished. The house was added to the Queensland Heritage Register in 1992.
After a briefing in the garden and the obligatory photo op on the steps, members enjoyed a cup of tea or coffee in beautiful white fine bone china cups and saucers and were honoured to be addressed by the Governor, who was in residence at the time of the visit.
