Our regular once a month activities include –

Breakfast Walkers - held on a Monday  morning at South Cronulla.  Walk along the Esplanade at your own pace and enjoy coffee and a chat at Zimzala’s afterwards.

Cards - held at Waterbrook on a Tuesday morning.  Around 30 members attend. We play 500, Canasta and Bush Rummy.

Crafty Ladies - held on a Friday morning.  A fun and friendly morning with around 20 ladies sharing their skills.  Tasty morning tea lots of chatting and good company at our co-ordinator’s home.   

Golf - held on a Monday on variety of courses.  Kareela, Woolooware, Canterbury, Boomerang or Hurstville.

Lawn Bowls - held at Caringbah Bowling Club on a Wednesday morning, members usually stay for a delicious lunch afterwards.

Huff and Puffers - held on a Tuesday morning.  An active group that enjoys walks around Sydney and elsewhere that are between 5klm-8klm.  Narrabeen Lakes, Sculptures by the Sea, Thirroul, Balmain, Ashfield, Seacliff Bridge are some of our most recent walks.

Photographic Group - meetings held on a Thursday morning.  An active group of amateur photographers wanting to improve their technique and get that 'wow' shot.  'Workshop' group outings to try out our new skills.  A fun and friendly group where we learn from each other.

Book Exchange - a large selection of books and magazines are available for our members to borrow, read and return or pass on. Donations of good quality books are always welcome. We have a large selection to suit all tastes. Our books are regularly recycled to make room for new titles, by donating the less popular ones to local charities.  

Book Club - held at Gymea Trade Union Club 2nd Friday of the Month.   Meet for coffee a chat and discussion on the book of the month.

Movie Club - meet at Westfield Miranda theatre at 1:30 for movie and coffee on the 1st Friday of the month

Guest Speakers - Each month at our meeting we have a Guest Speaker.  Our Guest Speakers are from all walks of life. They can bring to us some very interesting stories, information that is both relevant and informative, and they entertain us


Other monthly activities and outings include -

Galloping Gourmets meet for lunch every second month at a variety of restaurants.  A great way to enjoy different foods at a variety of local restaurants in good company and at a set price. 

Special Dining - A yearly Club picnic, Christmas in July and our Annual Christmas Luncheon.  Melbourne Cup Luncheon, Bowls Christmas Lunch, Golf Christmas BBQ and Cards Christmas Lunch.

Theatre/Entertainment – matinee theatre parties at the Lyric Theatre, Capital Theatre and the Opera House. Also shows at Cronulla Arts, Sutherland Entertainment Centre and Guild Theatre Rockdale.   All our theatre groups are daytime matinees.

Coach and train outings - our members have enjoyed days at Kembla Grange races, Studio audience of Channel 10’ The Living Room’, Bass & Flinders Cruise on Georges River, Nan Tien Temple, Historical visits, Wollongong Botanical Garden, Christmas in July at Medlow Bath, Trivia Fun Boat on Sydney Harbour, Coolangatta Winery and Big Foot south of Sydney.

Van Wrinklies – twice each year, our “grey nomads” and cabin dwellers enjoy a week away within eight hours’ drive of Sydney.  Usually during March and October.  Great company and happy hours.   

Tours and Holidays – Well costed, good value tours offer us the opportunity to travel within Australia and Overseas with people we know.  Broken Hill, New England area, Great Ocean Road, Murray River Paddle streamer. Montville and Sunshine Coast are just a few of our Australian tours recently undertaken.    Overseas holidays have included Hawaii, Croatia, China, Vietnam, Canada & Alaska and Japan in Cherry Blossom with our latest a Switzerland tour and a Scenic River Cruise.
