Probus Club of Goolwa Inc (Men)

Welcome to our club!

Goolwa is on the shores of the mighty Murray River

                            

 

 

 

Men's Probus Club meetings are held in the RSL building at Goolwa on the 2nd Monday of each month (not December or January) at 10am.  Or the Tuesday following if the Monday is a public holiday.

Come as a visitor to one of our meetings and see what Probus Men of Goolwa get up to.

  Bill Lowther (SC) on Military History

Bill was awarded the following medals for bravery by; Queen Elizabeth ll.
“STAR OF COURAGE
ROYAL HUMANE SOCIETY MEDAL.

Some of the things Bill talked about are:

English wartime history.
An unexploded torpedo landing in a neighbour’s garden.
A large bomb that rocked his boat.
Rare coincidence with a fighter pilot.
