History

The Formation meeting for the CLG Ladies Probus Club was held on 21/5/1991

Committee – Myra Tunbridge, Beryl Ducray, Val Sporn, Mary Bedson, June Howe

 

This club was formed as several ladies had husbands who attended the CLG Mens Probus so they decided that rather than just accompanying them on outings and trips they would form a single gender ladies club.

Over the years there have been several opportunities to combine with men’s clubs to form a larger group but members voted overwhelmingly to stay as a single gender “Ladies only” club.
