  • Kevin McGrory and Lyn Ellwood were worthy recipients of Life Membership
  • Chermside Probus celebrated its 30th Anniversary on April 26. Guest Speaker was PSPL Chairman, Judith Maestracci. All 5 remaining Foundation members were present: Marie Long; Joy Barry; Dawn McDowell; Gwenda Wood and Noela Ellis
  • Christmas in July – Fox and Hounds Hotel, Wongawallan

2021

  • Bus to the South Bank Museum and GOMA to see the European Masterpiece Art Exhibition and Museum exhibits.
  • Christmas in July was a wonderful 3 day trip to Stanthorpe with the dinner being a Masquerade Party at the Granite Belt Brewery. Janet Brennan won the “winning mask” prize.
  • October 1 celebrated Probus Day with a Picnic. Albany Creek and Brisbane City Probus Clubs joined us. Probus Day Certificates of Appreciation were presented to Kevin McGrory, Claire Schultz and Essie Anderson as their service was what Probus stood for.
  • 90th Birthday cakes for Lindsay Ellwood and Helen Stapleton

2020

  • Trip to Hervey Bay for a whale watching tour, visited the Historical Village, lots of sightseeing then on to Bundaberg, including a cruise on the Burnett River, visited the Gardens and Hinkler House and a day trip to 1770.
  • Christmas in July lunch at Canungra Hotel
  • Birthday cakes for our 90 year olds –Audrey Crisp, Marie Long, Val Macgregor and Essie Anderson.

2019

  • 8 day trip to Lightning Ridge with 2 nights at St George, 3 in Lightning Ridge and 2 at Moree.
  • Christmas in July at the Mapleton Tavern
  • 2 of our interesting day trips were to the Kingaroy Kitchen and on the Byron Bay Solar Train.

2018

  • Christmas in July at the Toogoolawah Hotel
  • October – Terranova tour to Gosford. Cruised on the Hawksbury River and Sydney Harbour. Visited the Hunter Valley Gardens.
  • Members donated IGA Gift cards to the Drought Angels Relief Fund

  • Framed Certificate and photo presented to each Foundation Member

  • Club was incorporated on 29th January 1993

  • Alan Ward (Rotary) convened a meeting at the Aspley Bowls Club on the 25th February 1992 to discuss a Chermside Probus Club formation
  • First Club meeting was held on 28th April 1992
  • 80 Probus Clubs from around Australia and New Zealand attended Friendship Day hosted by the Gold Coast clubs at Cascade Gardens

  • Club held a combined Christmas Party with the Wavell Probus Club.
