On Monday 27th April 2009, five ladies attended, the till then, Men's Probus Club of Berwick Inc.
The men's club was formed on 28th May 1984 but decreasing numbers caused the club to be reborn as Berwick Village Combined Probus Club.
Not all the men welcomed the change at the time but the club has gone on to flourish since becomming a combined group.
